Man arrested for assault

Police arrested Miguel Angel Vazquez, 20, for second-degree assault and domestic assault after a reported incident at 630 Larimore Circle at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, according to police. The initial call to police stated Vazquez reportedly threw an unopened beer can and hit a 5-month-old child with it and that he allegedly tried to stab a woman with a screw driver.

No other information was available as of press time.

 

Vehicles damaged, broken into

Windows of a vehicle at 118 E. Front St. were reported smashed out at 6:32 p.m. Friday, police stated.

A window was reported smashed out of a vehicle at 918 Garfield Ave. at 7:51 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

A vehicle was reported gone through while parked in a driveway at 1025 Bridge Ave. at 9:34 a.m. Saturday, according to police. Some change was reported missing.

A checkbook was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 423 St. Thomas Ave. at 11:47 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

A vehicle was reportedly gone through at 501 St. Thomas Ave. at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, police stated.

 

Pop machine broken into

A pop machine was reported broken into at 5:03 a.m. Saturday at 1619 W. Main St.

 

Graffiti reported

Graffiti was reported on the side of the Magnuson Hotel, 2019 E. Main St., at 6:04 p.m. Sunday. This is the location of the former Super 8.

 

Field fire reported

A field fire was reported at 83059 Freeborn County 46 at 9:05 p.m. Friday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. No other information was available.

 

Sound system stolen

A vendor at the Freeborn County Fair reported part of a sound system stolen at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, according to reports.
