Weekend Planner: Local acts to perform at fair

The Freeborn County Fair continues this week with big acts at the Grandstand and lots of local flavor at Entertainment Square. A feature on the Elephant Encounter at the fair can be found here.

 

Friday

• Musicians at Entertainment Square at the fair include The Goodtimes Band playing at 3 p.m., Mudcat & The Bottom Feeders playing at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. and Becky Thompson & Old School playing at 6 and 8:30 p.m.

• Local children perform at the Fairlane Building at the fair at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. for a Touch of Broadway. There is no admission fee.

• Charley Pride performs at 8:30 p.m. at the Freeborn County Fair Grandstand.

 

Saturday

• Musicians at Entertainment Square at the fair include Christian Andersen at 3:30 p.m., Noah Anderson at 4 p.m., Bret Canny at 4:30 p.m., Panic Switch at 5 p.m., the Kyle Neidermier Band at 6 p.m., Off Center at 6:30 p.m., Alex and Nathan Talamantez at 7:30 p.m., Noah Anderson at 9 p.m. and Nothing More Than A Ghost at 9:30 p.m.

• Local children perform at the Fairlane Building at the fair at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. for a Touch of Broadway. There is no admission fee.

• Lonestar performs at 8:30 p.m. at the Freeborn County Fair Grandstand.

 

Sunday

• Sunday worship service at the fair will begin at 10 a.m. There will be free admission to the fair before 10 a.m.

• Musicians at Entertainment Square at the fair include First Lutheran Church’s Spirit Express band and One A Chord singers at noon and The Cruisers at 3 p.m.

• See local people of all ages compete in a talent show at Entertainment Square at 1:30 p.m.

• The demolition derby will start at 4 p.m. at the Grandstand.

• Jason Gray performs at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clarks Grove.
