The Wells Area Save 2nd Base committee recently presented a $15,000 donation to Mark Ciota, CEO, Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin, for “Project Pink.”

“Project Pink” is a fundraising campaign to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for the medical center in Albert Lea. This year the funds will be used in Radiology to purchase a Trident Breast Biopsy Tissue which will enhance the full-field digital mammography equipment purchased with previous donations.

The committee’s efforts have raised over $41,000 for Mayo Clinic Health System and “Project Pink” over the past four years.
