The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Department and EMTs responded to LKQ Auto Salvage northeast of Albert Lea at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a car frame that slid off of a partially-raised hoist onto an employee’s foot.
An LKQ spokeswoman stated the employee was removing parts from the frame.
As a precautionary measure, LKQ management called a local ambulance to transport the worker to the hospital for X-rays. He returned to work a couple of hours later with his foot wrapped.
