Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton is slated to stop in Albert Lea Monday afternoon to rally with DFL candidates and supporters.
According to a news release, Dayton is scheduled to be in town at 2 p.m. at Prairie Wind Coffee, 211 S. Broadway.
The Albert Lea visit will follow stops earlier in the day in Northfield and Owatonna.
In Albert Lea, specifically, the governor will stump for incumbent District 27 Sen. Dan Sparks, DFL-Austin, and District 27A candidate Shannon Savick, DFL-Wells.
Sparks faces Republican Linden Anderson, and Savick faces incumbent District 27A Rep. Rich Murray, R-Albert Lea, in the Nov. 6 election.
In Northfield, Dayton will stop at St. Olaf College, where he is expected to encourage support for DFL candidates and encourage students to vote.
In Owatonna, the governor is expected to join District 24 candidates for a public meet-and-greet.
