Freeborn County Home Council

The Scholarship Luncheon of the Freeborn County Home Council was held on July 17 at America’s Best Value Inn at 11:30 a.m. There were 29 members and four guests present.

President Ardus Sanderson welcomed everyone. Vice President Marcia Petersen gave a table prayer. A lunch of chicken salad, fruit, bread sticks and rainbow sherbet was served.

Following the lunch the program was presented by Greg Gudal, executive director of Youth for Christ and other staff members. Presentation of two $500 scholarships were awarded to Noelle Hagen and Joel Faugstad.

Bev Diercks, southeast district representative, announced that the fall kickoff in Kasson will continue to be open to anyone that wishes to attend. She also reminisced about clubs, trips and other activities over the past years from the beginning of the Home Extension Program.

There were scrapbooks and photo albums from the past years to look at.  Historian Carol Olson set up the display.
