Lodge Zare Zapadu No. 44  will present the play “The Accidental Hero” on stage at the Brick Hall at 2 p.m. Oct. 28. Brick Hall is on County Road 30, three miles north of Myrtle.

This play is the true story of American World War II officer, Lt. Col. Matt Konop, a farm boy from the Midwest, who finds himself as a hero after liberating the same Czech village where his grandparents once lived.
