Minn. governor to return to A.L.

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and other state DFL leaders are slated to be back in Albert Lea next Friday on a tour across the state four days shy of Election Day.

Dayton, DFL Chairman Ken Martin and House Minority Leader Paul Thissen, DFL-Minneapolis, are slated to be at the Union Center at 2:15 p.m. for a rally, according to a news release.

Dayton came to Albert Lea Monday to stump for District 27A House candidate Shannon Savick, DFL-Wells, and District 27 Sen. Dan Sparks, DFL-Austin. He spoke of the need to end partisan gridlock in state government.

The visit comes as politicians on both sides around the state are making a last-minute attempt to rally voters prior to the election.

Speaker of the Minnesota House Kurt Zellers, R-Maple Grove, was slated to be in Albert Lea at 10 a.m. today to rally for District 27A Rep. Rich Murray, R-Albert Lea.
