We need a representative like Allen Quist to represent the 1st District. Tim Walz has supported every big spending program put forward by President Obama (stimulus, Obamacare and Dodd-Frank). Obama says if we only raise taxes on the rich a little bit, we can get our budget on a “sustainable path.” Higher taxes on the wealthy would have been a drop in the bucket compared to the $6 trillion of new debt piled up in the last four years. We need to control the spending, reform entitlements, and stop wasting taxpayer money in pet business and industries.

What the Democrats and media don’t tell you is that the only way to fund Tim Walz’s spending is to eventually raise taxes on everyone. When we get to that point, we will have a Greek-style economy and won’t be able to keep any of the promises government made. Allen Quist has a plan to balance the budget in five years. He is an honest, hard-working man who is dedicated to get our country back on the right track. With a balanced budget, we will restore confidence in American so that our economy can grow and provide the jobs Americans need.
