Meet Imogene Opdahl
Name: Imogene I. Opdahl (Jeanie)
Age: 74
Livelihood: Retired

Tell us about your family: I am married to Luther and have three children. Pam lives in Anoka and works for the County of Anoka. RaNae lives in Oakland and is a designer for Hy-Vee Floral in Austin. David lives just outside of Emmons and is a truck driver. We have two granddaughters.
Where do you volunteer and how long have you volunteered there? I have been a volunteer for the Freeborn County 4-H program for 37 years. I have been a project leader, a key leader and now am a County Cloverbud leader. I also volunteer at the fair working in the exhibit building as well as the livestock office. I also volunteer for the crisis response team of Freeborn County and have been a Red Cross volunteer for many years. I also am a volunteer for the Chamber Ag Committee. I am a volunteer at the Emmons Community Library and also one of the original volunteers to get the library up and running. I also volunteer at the Emmons Lutheran Church.
Why do you volunteer? To give back to the community. It is wonderful to work with the 4-H children as Cloverbuds (kindergarten and first and second graders) and watch them grow up to be wonderful young men and women in the community.
