Darnell Grinolds, 66, Naples, Fla.

Darnell Grinolds, age 66, passed away in Naples, Fla., on Nov. 15, 2012, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Darnell was a 1964 graduate of Albert Lea High School and the Minneapolis School of Art. He was very active in the Naples area as a living historian at the Collier County Museum. He was also a former Boy Scout and Gulf Coast Little League leader and a member of the Optimist Club. He participated in many rendezvous and Indian re-enactments. Thank you Darnell for all the great meals you cooked at numerous rendezvous and your skill at teaching so many the ways of our ancestors.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Joshua and Zachariah; sister, Janet (Dennis) Brekke, father-in-law Newton Lowe, bother-in-law Jeff (Darlene) Lowe as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Marvelyn Grinolds, and mother-in-law, Vera Lowe.
