Q. What sports are you involved in?

A. Cheerleading and basketball.

Q. What got you started in cheerleading?

A. I became really close with the head cheerleading coach. She has done so much for me. I also looked up to a lot of the cheerleaders when I was younger and actually followed them around sometimes. A lot of my friends are on the team now.

Q. What got you started in basketball?

A. I joined basketball mainly because my sister did it in high school, and I wanted to be like her.

Q. What other extracurricular activities are you involved in?

A. I used to be in FFA and Student Council, but I can’t be in that anymore because I went post. I have a job at Tubbs Chiropractic in Albert Lea.

Q. Did your parents play sports when they were younger?

A. My mom played softball. My dad played football and possibly baseball and basketball, too.

Q. Do you have siblings who play or have played any sports?

A. My sister, Megan, played basketball and softball.

Q. What number are you in basketball?

A. No. 3

Q. What are your sports-related achievements?

A. For cheerleading, I have received the Coach’s Award multiple years and have been a varsity captain the past three years. This past season I received the Best Jumps Award and Most Valuable Cheerleader. I am also a basketball captain and received the Hussle Award and multiple Spotlight on Academics certificates.

Q. What are your sports related goals?

A. For my upcoming basketball season, I want to be good all-around in shooting, passing, defense, etc.

Q. Who is your favorite professional athlete?

A. I don’t have a favorite athlete, but I enjoy watching college basketball.

Q. What is your favorite school subject? Why?

A. Right now I really like my interpersonal communication class, which teaches us listening and relational skills. My teacher is really good and, unlike most communications classes, I don’t have to give a speech!

Q. Who is your favorite teacher? Why?

A. Sarah Gehring. She was my history teacher, and I really liked the way she treated us. She was really easy to talk to and ask questions.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A. I really like going to my grandma and grandpa’s cabin by the lake and just doing any kind of water sports, especially boating and the stand-up jet ski!

Q. What is your dream job?

A. I would love to go into human services. I really enjoy helping people, and it would be cool to be able to help families and kids.

Q. What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A. “One Tree Hill.” So I’m really sad that it’s over now!

Q. What is your favorite food?

A. Pasta, especially chicken alfredo.

Q. What is an interesting fact about you?

A. I sell Avon products. My mom got me started and has been helping me out with it. It’s a really fun experience, and I like how much cheaper those products are than store makeup.
