BURLINGTON, Vt. — Five different Golden Gophers scored as No. 4 Minnesota crushed Vermont in a non-league game in Burlington.

Friday night’s game leaves Minnesota with an 8-2-2 overall record and 4-2-2 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while the Catamounts fall to 2-6-2 overall and 2-5-2 in Hockey East play.

Vermont outshot Minnesota in the first period, but the Gophers took control in the second.
