Two people were reportedly injured Saturday morning at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Main Street, according to Albert Lea police.

Reports stated the crash took place at 11:14 a.m. The injured were listed as Jenna Kay Drescher, 24, and Kathy Marie Anderson, 59, of Albert Lea.

Police said Anderson was driving southbound on Garfield Ave. in a 2011 Chrysler and was partway through the intersection ready to turn when she was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup driven by Steven Paul Steele, 62, of Alden, who was driving westbound on Main Street.

Drescher was a passenger in Anderson’s vehicle.

The stoplight at the time was a blinking red light. Both drivers reportedly stated they stopped at the light before proceeding. Steele was cited for driving after revocation.
