Son of local couple named shareholder

Cole Stevens, son of Dwight and Mary Jane Stevens of Albert Lea, was named shareholder at Burkart & Associates in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Stevens is a certified public accountant.

 

Orthodontist presents lecture

Wayne Sletten, an orthodontist in Albert Lea, gave a lecture at the annual meeting of the Roth-Williams International Association of Orthodontists in Paris. The meeting was from Oct. 2-4. It was the annual meeting for the worldwide organization that is committed to furthering the understanding of how healthy chewing systems function.

Sletten’s lecture presented the results of his clinical research now being presented for publication in a dental research journal. The research involves the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular dysfunction, often called TMJ or TMD.

Sletten is a past president of this orthodontic organization.
