Memorial services for Dale Eugene Bolinger of Houston, Texas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea. The Rev. Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area veterans groups.
Dale died on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston. He was 64 years of age.
Dale was born March 31, 1948, in Albert Lea, the son of Eugene and Thelma (Bergland) Bolinger. He attended public school in Albert Lea. Dale served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Oriskany aircraft carrier.
He lived in various locations across the country including Eugene, Ore., and the past 20 years in Houston. Dale enjoyed antiques and worked for many years at Reeves Antiques in Houston. He enjoyed his time spent with family and reconnecting on Facebook.
Dale is survived by his parents Eugene Bolinger and Thelma Hall of Albert Lea, brothers; Jack Bolinger and his children Justin, Cody and John, Danny (Lisa) Bolinger and their children Ashley and Adam Serrano, Terry (Debbie) Bolinger and their children Shane, Tonya, Mark and Roxanne, Tom (Colleen) Bolinger and their children Melody, Tim, Tom and Taylor, and Steve Bolinger all of Albert Lea. Also surviving is a special friend Dennis Cox of Houston, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Dianne Broitzman and an infant brother Mark Bolinger.
