Published 9:13 am Wednesday, January 30, 2013

There is a wonderful Parkinson’s disease educational opportunity coming to Albert Lea. This event will be held at America’s Best Value Inn, 2306 E. Main St., Feb. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. This is a complimentary dinner meeting, but participants must reserve a ticket by calling 1-888-302-7762 by Monday as seats are limited.

There will be an update on Parkinson’s disease by Dr. Alireza Yarahmadi, a neurologist with Mercy Neurology Clinic in Mason City, followed by information on Parkinson’s disease research by Dr. Bryan Klassen, a researcher for Parkinson’s disease with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

This program is made available to our community by American Parkinson Disease Association, and also sponsored by Medtronic, Allina Health and Teva Pharmaceuticals.

We seldom have such an opportunity within our immediate area so I urge all who are touched by Parkinson’s disease to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
