A: I started in either fourth or fifth grade. It’s always been my favorite. My mom always said to do what you love most, and it’s been my favorite ever since.

Q: How did you get started in volleyball?

A: I like the sport and enjoy playing it. There’s a lot of the same girls on the volleyball team as the basketball team because we’re such a small school. We all really get along and that makes it more fun.

A: I play flute in the band and sing soprano in the choir. I also work at the Dairy Queen in Wells on the weekends.

Q: Did your parents play sports when they were younger?

A: My mom played volleyball, softball and tennis. Tennis was her main sport, and she was pretty good at that. She also started playing basketball but didn’t finish it out.

Q: Do you have siblings who play or have played any sports?

A: Payton plays volleyball and basketball. She tried out for softball but didn’t really like it.

A: I received Honorable Mention and All-Conference for basketball. I also was KATE Radio’s Athlete of the Week for basketball my sophomore and senior year.

A: Our team goal is to get to state this year. I also really want to reach my thousandth point this year but we’ll see.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?

A: LeBron James. I watched the Miami Heat game last week, and he’s just a really strong player. I admire the way he plays with confidence.

A: I really like English because I really like to read. I’m going to take a mythology class next semester, and I’m really looking forward to that!

Q: Who is your favorite teacher?

A: Kristen Hoiland. She’s a math teacher, and I really liked her because she’s giddy and happy all the time. She makes me excited to go to her class.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I read books. I read lots of books! I love hanging out with friends and swimming at the YMCA with my sister. I also like shopping with my mom, especially at Deb because they have a lot of stuff for pretty good prices.

A: My favorite movie is “Pitch Perfect,” which I just got for Christmas! My favorite TV show is “CSI” and anything that has to do with law and order.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Chicken alfredo! I just went to Olive Garden this weekend, and that’s the only thing I ever get there.

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?

A: Most people think I’m quiet, but when I’m with my friends I’m really loud. Well, we’re all loud, but I’m probably one of the loudest!
