MINNEAPOLIS — Woodbury Police Chief Lee Vague said he’s thankful for a grand jury analysis of last summer’s officer-involved shooting at a motel.
Ramsey County prosecutors announced Thursday that a grand jury won’t indict three officers who fired their weapons during the standoff at the Red Roof Inn.
Nineteen-year-old Mark Henderson of St. Paul died. Authorities have said he was a hostage trying to escape from Demetrius Ballinger, but police thought he was armed.
Vague is also thanking the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Ramsey County prosecutors for their thorough investigation.
