Taxes have been raised on the rich so our problems must be over? We have spent trillions of dollars to buy our way out of the recession so our problems must be over?

Now a recent letter writer says Republicans need to forget about their principles and let Democrats tax more and borrow trillions more or they are being obstructionists. Maybe it’s time for Democrats to give up on trying to spend all their grandchildren’s money and get their spending habits under control.
