You Can Help

Here are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, RSVP, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433 also 800-642-1875.
Art shop volunteers: Have you always wanted to work in a retail environment without all the pressure? There are three openings for Art on Broadway, Albert Lea Art Center, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Volunteers will be trained; the Art Center office manager is available to assist as needed. Call the Art Center at 373-5665.
Girl Scouts: Share your special talent with another leader to provide scouting experiences after school for second and third grade girls. Frequency depends on your availability — once or twice a month. You can connect with Gege Abraham by email at gege.abraham@girlscoutsrv.org or call 507-475-1755. Gege says the girls are more than ready, how about you?
Taste of Heritage: This event will be from 1 to 3 p.m. April 6 at the Northbridge Mall. Needed are four volunteers willing to help for part or all of the time. These volunteers would be helping in the children’s section doing a cultural craft. Instruction, demonstrations, supplies, table and chairs will all be provided.
RSVP, a program of Senior Resources of Freeborn County, receives some funding through the United Way of Freeborn County, Minnesota Board on Aging and Corporation for National and Community Service.
