2 arrested for drug possession

Albert Lea police arrested Nicholas Lee Tuttle, 30, and Wayne Foster Tuttle, 27, for numerous violations after police received a 911 call Tuesday night that the two men were in the basement of 615 Pillsbury Ave. and were stealing items. The men’s brother reportedly lived at the residence and let them into the house.

Reports stated Nicholas Tuttle was arrested for fourth-degree assault, fifth-degree drug possession, obstructing the legal process and gross misdemeanor possession of brass knuckles.

Wayne Tuttle was arrested for fifth-degree drug possession.


Woman injured in crash

A Mason City woman received minor injuries on Monday in a rollover on Interstate 35 in Steele County.

Lindsay E. Thies, 25, was reportedly injured after the crash near milepost 33 at 8:23 p.m. Monday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Thies was traveling southbound on I-35 when she saw another vehicle in the ditch. She merged left to avoid the vehicle and entered the median and rolled.

The Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The State Patrol is investigating.


Shed broken into

Someone reportedly attempted to break in to a pole shed overnight Monday at 2200 Riverland Drive, according to Albert Lea police. The door was reported damaged.


Pickup on fire

A black Ford F-150 was reported on fire across the street from the Law Enforcement Center near the intersection of East College Street and South Newton Avenue at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to Albert Lea police.
