Ten kindergarten through eighth grade Albert Lea Area wrestlers placed at the Gopher State National Tournament in Monticello on Feb. 9 and 10. More than 1,000 wrestlers participated. Four Albert Lea Area wrestlers made the finals and six more also placed in the top five. Champions were Brody Nielson and Caleb Talamantes. Zach Glazier and Cole Glazier earned second, Blake Simon, Gavin Ignaszewski and Nic Cantu took third, Kail Wynia and Mike Olson took fourth and Joey Flores took fifth.
