The Southern Minnesota Regional Coroner’s Office officially released the names Saturday evening of the man who was murdered early Friday morning outside his Austin home.
Dennis Burton Seberson, 86, resided at 510 4th Street NW. The Coroner’s Office report said he died of homicide as a result of blunt force trauma.
In addition, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office on Saturday identified the suspect in the alleged murder as Craig Brian Seberson, 46, of Meservey, Iowa. Initial police reports had stated he was from the St. Paul suburb of Oakdale.
The Medical Examiner’s Office report states Craig Seberson died when his 2001 Saab 9-3 crashed south of Waseca following a lengthy run from law enforcement, which included a run through Freeborn County mostly on paved county roads. The preliminary autopsy found Craig Seberson died of head injuries and probable mechanical asphyxia associated with the automobile crash.
