Everett Hagen, 82, Albert Lea

Everett L. (Smokey) Hagen, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea. Private interment will be in Lunder Lutheran Church Cemetery. Everett’s wishes were not to have a memorial service. The family requests no memorials be sent, but please keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
Everett was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Albert Lea to Bert G. and Anna V. (Shepperd) Hagen. He was a four-year veteran of the Air Force. He enlisted in December 1950 in Albert Lea and was discharged November 1954 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey as an Airman First Class.
Everett drove truck for 45 years. He drove for Red Owl and Piggly Wiggly in Albert Lea and Frey Miller in Bakersfield, Calif. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins.
Everett is survived by his son: Thomas M. Hagen of Shakopee; granddaughters, Katlynn Hagen of Carver and Cassandra Hagen of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; sisters, Betty (Ray) Hanna of Emmons, Nylene (Gilman) Thompson of Twin Lakes, Nola Thibodeau of Freemont, Neb., and Bernette Nelson of Alden; brothers, Dellan (Annette) Hagen of Albert Lea, Elwood (Marlys) Hagen of Albert Lea, Glen (Louise) Hagen of Albert Lea and Bernard (Cheryl) Hagen of Hartland.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents Bert and Anna Hagen; daughter, Kimberly Sue Hagen; brother, Gary Hagen; and brothers-in-law, Larry Nelson and Steve Thibodeau.
