Lakeview Elementary students play the role of carnies in the play “Jack and the Beanstalk.” It was the first time that Lakeview has put on a play with Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre. Tanner Smale, center, a professional actor with Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre, tries to sell magic beans to Jack, played by Robert Vanriper, and Jessie, played by Maggie Moller. Smale and Lauren Longyear are the professional actors who have been working with Lakeview Elementary School students this week to put on “Jack and the Beanstalk.” It is Smale and Longyear’s first tour with the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre.
