FARGO, N.D. — A home in Fargo that will rent space to felons trying to adjust back into the community is expected to be ready Saturday.
A Minnesota faith-based nonprofit group has partnered with the Jail Chaplains ministry to create My Father’s House. Those who pass a screening process will be required to pay a portion of the rent.
Similar homes have been established in 25 locations across Minnesota.
Amber Krafnick and her family moved into a home across the street from Matthew House, in Fergus Falls. She says it’s just another house in the neighborhood, and she sees the residents’ families come to visit.
Judy Hubbes says some were worried about Matthew House because the men had come from prison, but there have been no problems.
