Judy was born on Feb. 23, 1964, to John and Jane Reid in Albert Lea. Her schooling was at Hawthorne Elementary School and Albert Lea High School, graduating in 1982. She graduated from Riverland Community College with a degree as a medical secretary. Through her schooling years, she worked at Good Samaritan Society and fulltime upon graduation. Judy was previously married to Robert Jackson. She later moved to Minneapolis where she was employed at Regis, Ebenezer Caroline Center, Uptown Vision Clinic, Ameriprise and currently at Medica in Minnetonka, as a customer service representative.

During her early years, the family spent summer vacations enjoying camping trips, so Judy developed a love for camping and fishing. When in a boat with Judy, one could get a good lesson on how to catch walleyes. She was the youngest fisherman and always caught the most fish. Judy enjoyed many summer fishing trips. Her 30th class reunion this past summer was a wonderful time to be with classmates and friends.

You can’t control the length of your life

but you can control its width and depth.

You can’t control the contour of your face

but you can control its expression.

You can’t control the weather

but you can control the atmosphere of your mind.

Why worry about things you can’t control when you

can keep yourself busy controlling the things that depend on you.
