On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 13, Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester will have an 11:30 a.m. lunch (donations accepted), a noon Bible study and a 1 p.m. Ash Wednesday service.

The Kiester area men’s breakfasts throughout Lent are also scheduled. The breakfasts start at 7 a.m. (donations accepted) and Bible study is done by 8 a.m. The schedule is as follows: Feb. 19 at Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester; Feb. 26 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester; March 5 at United Lutheran Church in Walters; and March 12 at Mansfield Lutheran Church in rural Mansfield.

On Wednesdays during Lent (Feb. 20, 27, March 6, 13 and 20) There will be an 11:30 a.m. lunch (donations accepted) and noon Bible study at Grace United Church in Kiester. Also on those Wednesdays will be a 6 p.m. supper (donations accepted) and 6:45 p.m. Bible study at Alden United Methodist Church.

The Maundy Thursday (March 27) schedule is as follows: 7 p.m. communion service at Freeborn Congregational United Church of Christ. Then on Good Friday (March 28) the Freeborn Congregational United Church of Christ will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for private meditation. At 7:30 p.m. will be a worship service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester.

On Easter Sunday (March 31) there will be worship services at 8 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester, at 9:30 a.m. at Alden United Methodist Church in Alden and at 11 a.m. at Freeborn Congregational United Church of Christ in Freeborn.
