Savick favors anti-business tax

Have you been wondering where state Rep. Shannon Savick stands on Gov. Mark Dayton’s multi-billion dollar tax increase proposal?
Well, wonder no more. On Feb. 20, Rep. Savick voted in favor of raising taxes by $3.7 billion, a move that will impact every taxpaying Minnesotan, from the richest of the rich to the poorest of the poor.
What’s more, the increased tax burden could drive good-paying jobs out of our communities and into neighboring states like Iowa.
Last session, lawmakers turned a $5 billion deficit into a $2 billion surplus without raising anyone’s taxes. Clearly, Rep. Savick does not admire fiscal responsibility and thinks you need to pay more to expand state government.
Hard-working Minnesotans need to stand up and take action. Let Rep. Savick know her vote to raise your taxes and cause you permanent financial hardship is the wrong approach.
