Albert Lea Transit adds routes

Beginning May 1, Albert Lea Transit will add a new route to cities near Freeborn County.
The new route will service the cities of Wells, Alden, Glenville, Clarks Grove, Geneva, Emmons and Twin Lakes.
As the route progresses more cities may be added.
The route will run Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The cost for the out of county route is $3 per trip. Tokens also may be purchased at Cedar Valley Services in Albert Lea. The bus will pick up and drop off passengers at designated areas.
The following times are available for rides to and from Albert Lea:
• Monday: Pick up in Alden at 8:30 a.m. and return to Alden at 12:45 p.m.
•Tuesday: Pick up in Twin Lakes at 9:30 a.m. and Emmons at 9:40 a.m. and return at noon.
• Wednesday: Pick up in Glenville at 9:30 a.m. and return at noon.
• Thursday: Pick up in Clarks Grove at 9:30 a.m. and Geneva at 9:40 a.m. and return at noon.
• Friday: Dial-A-Ride service from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Once in Albert Lea, the bus will make stops at Nelson’s, Albert Lea Transit Facility, Mayo Clinic Health System, Walmart, Northbridge Mall and Hy-Vee.
