Edna Roche, 85, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Edna L. Roche of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Timothy T. Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church.
Edna died on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Thorne Crest Retirement Community. She was 85 years old.
Edna was born in Mapleton on Oct. 19, 1927, the daughter of Gustav and Mary (Boestsky) Schull. She graduated from Iron School House in Mapleton and Mankato Business College. Edna was married to Joe Roche on June 19, 1948, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. Edna was a long time Albert Lea resident. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and CCW. Edna worked at Wilson & Co. as head of the billing department. She and her husband were owners of Roche Electric.
Edna enjoyed reading, bowling and taking trips back home. She especially enjoyed nature and watching birds.
Edna is survived by her children, Steven (Marian) Roche of Albert Lea and their children, Heidi, Whitney and Christian; Bob Roche of Albert Lea; Jeanne (Dale) Tatarek of St. Louis Park and their children, David, Elaine (Joe) Adams and their son, Justus Dale; and Christopher (Renee) Kelsey; sisters-in-law, Betty Roche of Albert Lea and Patricia Roche of Albert Lea; brother-in-law, Leo Hillesheim of New Ulm; and nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, and sons, Tom and John.
