Nathalie M. Hutchinson, 96, of Salina, Kan., died Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She was born Sept. 2, 1916, in Albert Lea to John and Effie Groat. She married Chuck Hutchinson on April 20, 1941, at the First United Methodist Church.

She loved people, God and conversation, had a strong sense of hospitality, was an avid letter writer and spent hours lovingly tending her flower garden.

Nathalie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Chuck, and infant son, Steven. She is survived by her son, Dirk and wife Fran of Salina, two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church.
