FORT MEYERS, Fla. — The Minnesota Twins announced in a press release they have optioned right-handed pitcher Alex Burnett to Triple-A Rochester. Burnett appeared in seven games with the Twins this spring posting a 7.56 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched, with seven earned runs, six walks and one strikeout.

The Twins now have 28 active players in camp: 15 pitchers (two non-roster), two catchers, six infielders and five outfielders (one non-roster). The Twins also have two players on the disabled list: Scott Diamond (left elbow) and Anthony Swarzak (ribs).
