Albert Lea police assisted in a federal search warrant Wednesday morning at El Padrino Mexican grocery store, 1100 S. Broadway.

Police Lt. J.D. Carlson said Secret Service and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement personnel were present during the search.

He declined to release any further details about the search and said he did not know if it was connected to six federal search warrants conducted Wednesday in Rochester.

KTTC television station in Rochester reported that the IRS raided a Rochester restaurant, Tortilleria Jalisco, on Wednesday. The station said it would be 90 days before details were released on why that restaurant was raided.
