Attempted murder suspect to be charged today

A Texas man arrested Sunday on an attempted murder allegations is expected to be charged today in Freeborn County District Court.

Albert Lea police arrested Samuel Vallejo, of Harker Heights, Texas, Sunday night after he allegedly fired a shot through the window of a silver Chevy Silverado next to his brother. The pickup had been parked in front of a house at 802 Valley Ave.

He is expected to face charges of second-degree assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and attempted second-degree murder.
