The last opera streaming of the 2012-13 season will be this Saturday when local residents can see a high-definition viewing of “Giulio Cesare.”

This will be the 12th installment of simulcasts made available by the New York Metropolitan Opera. Saturday’s show begins at 11 a.m. The show runs more than four hours, with two intermissions where there will be coffee and cookies available for purchase.

The opera is sung in Italian with English subtitles and is a semi-comic, semi-tragic adventure story about the love story of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra. It’s not entirely based on facts, but does have drama, romance, murder, political dealings and tragedy.
