The Minnesota Spay and Neuter Assistance Program surgical team recently traveled to Albert Lea at the invitation of Minnesota National Guard unit Delta Co. 2-135 and Tolli Gossett.
The MNSNAP surgical team travels through the state to a pre-scheduled destination each day.
Their veterinary staff admits each preregistered animal, collects a nominal fee and performs pre-operative physical exams. During the day, all animals are cared for by licensed veterinarians and teams of experienced and caring veterinary technicians. The dogs and cats are anesthetized and surgically sterilized (spayed or neutered) using the most current anesthesia medications, equipment and surgical techniques. The animals are discharged to their owners or caretakers or back to their rescues or shelters the same day.

The next Albert Lea MNSNAP clinic is May 16.
