USC will hold groundbreaking

The United South Central school board decided at its regular meeting Tuesday on a date for a groundbreaking of the new school building approved by voters last November. The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. May 15. Shovels will turn dirt on the north side of the property near Sixth Avenue. The piece of land is south of Wells on the eastern side of state Highway 22. A rain date was set for 2 p.m. May 17 in case of inclement weather.
