City accepting tree debris starting Friday

Albert Lea officials announced Thursday afternoon the city will be accepting brush and tree debris from city residents free of charge starting Friday and going until May 12. Debris can be disposed during normal operating hours at the Transfer Station and Demolition Landfill and at the Blazing Star Landing.
Residents are advised not to dispose of trash or demolition material at the Blazing Star Landing or the site will be closed. Trash and demolition materials can be disposed of at regular prices and during normal operating hours at the landfill.
Transfer station hours are as follows:
• 3 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays
