I was amused in reading Mr. Wayne Thorson’s letter, pointing out that Fox News is neither fair nor balanced. One can argue that claim till the cows come home. However, month after month, year after year, Fox News retains its top spot, by a wide margin, among all cable news providers.

On the other hand, MSNBC, clearly the most ultra-liberal network on the tube, recently fell from No. 2 to No. 3, with CNN now in the second spot.

Mr. Thorson wonders how anyone can take Fox News seriously. Well, given their consistently high ratings, one can conclude that lots and lots of viewers are tuning in to Fox in order to get fair and balanced reporting, minus any spin.
