About $1,000 in tools in a black nylon bag were reported stolen out of a truck at 1203 Plainview Lane sometime overnight on Monday, according to Albert Lea police. The incident was reported at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday.
Man arrested for obstructing justice

Albert Lea police arrested Ruben James Miranda for obstructing justice at 12:07 a.m. today after receiving a report that the clerk at the front desk of America’s Best Value Inn, 2306 E. Main St., was being assaulted by an intoxicated man, according to reports.
