EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) — Adrian Peterson’s rehabilitation has been a lot easier this year.

The NFL MVP is fully participating in practice this week with the Minnesota Vikings. He said Wednesday he’s “pretty much 100 percent” healed from the surgery he had in February to repair a sports hernia.

Peterson called his comeback this winter “a cakewalk compared to recovering from the ACL tear” that kept him out of offseason workouts in 2012. But Peterson added that he “earned a lot more respect” for his abdominal muscles over the last few months.

Peterson recovered from the knee injury in time last year to rush for 2,097 yards, the second-most in league history.

Also, wide receiver Greg Jennings didn’t practice Wednesday because of a sore ankle. Coach Leslie Frazier said the injury isn’t serious.
