ST. PAUL — Aspiring ballplayers can see if they’ve got what it takes when the St. Paul Saints hold their annual open tryout today at Midway Stadium.
The tryout is free. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the tryout at 9 a.m.
Candidates should come ready in baseball attire and cleats, bring their own glove and, if they’re a position player, a wooden bat.
Participants can show their talent at only one position. All position players will get a chance to take a few swings.
If the tryout is rained out, it will be rescheduled for Friday at 9 a.m.
