CENTER CITY — Sheriff’s officials say toxicology test results should reveal the cause of death for a woman whose body was found in a Chisago County swamp.
Sheriff Rick Duncan said if the death of Danielle Jelinek wasn’t due to natural causes, that will lead investigators “in a direction” of making her boyfriend a suspect. The body of the 27-year-old woman was found Friday in a swamp near her boyfriend’s home in Chisago Lake Township.
An autopsy was done Saturday, but the cause and manner of death are pending. The sheriff said the final determination on the cause of death hinges on the results of the toxicology tests. Jelinek disappeared Dec. 9.
