The Albert Lea Knights 13AAA baseball team earned third place at the Mankato Royals tournament June 1 and 2. In pool play, the Knights beat Rosemount 8-5, lost to Shakopee 9-8 and advanced to bracket play with a 6-3 win over Roseville. The game ended with a three-run walk-off home run by Alex Bledsoe. In the semifinals, the Knights lost 11-6 to the Minneapolis Millers. The 13AAA team captured third place in the tournament by beating New Ulm 6-3. Next, the 13AAA Knights will play in a tournament at Bloomington Friday through Sunday. — Submitted
