The sixth annual “Bikes for Barker” Scholarship Fundraiser will be June 22 at the Albert Lea Armory, 410 Prospect Ave.

The fundraiser includes a pancake breakfast from 9 to 11:30 a.m., a 100-mile motorcycle run from the Albert Lea Armory to Lanesboro, and an 11-mile bicycle ride starting at the head of the Root River Trail in Fountain, to the city park in Lanesboro. A donation of $5 is suggested for the breakfast. Registration is $20 per motorcycle and $10 per biking family. There will be a luncheon celebration at the city park in Lanesboro afterward. A donation of $5 is suggested for the luncheon.

There will also be a free youth fishing contest with prizes and a raffle. All money raised at this event goes toward the Garth Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund, which assists students pursuing careers in chemical dependency counseling.
