The Freeborn County Commissioners recently awarded five Freeborn County high school seniors with $500 scholarships. The scholarships were provided by Diamond Jo Casino and each student was presented with an award during the regular board meeting on May 21. Freeborn County Administrator John Kluever said this was the sixth year of the program.

The students who received the scholarships were Carina Fitzlaff, Christina Monson and Corbin Schultz of Albert Lea High School, Kendra Davis of Glenville-Emmons High School and Allison Songstad of Alden-Conger High School.
