Linda Christensen, 64, Clarks Grove

Funeral services for Linda Faye Christensen of Clarks Grove, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. The Rev. Katie Fick will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Clarks Grove Cemetery.
Linda died on Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea. She was 64 years of age.
Linda was born April 16, 1949, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Henry and Faye (Bothum) Nelson. She graduated high school in Albert Lea and on Aug. 23, 1968, was united in marriage to Galen Christensen at the Hayward Lutheran Church.
Linda was a resident of Freeborn County all of her life and was baptized and confirmed at the Hayward Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and canning. She loved to watch NASCAR racing and spending time with her family. Summers up north in Minnesota were very special to her.
Linda is survived by her husband Galen of Clarks Grove, sons Shane Christensen (Kelly Aldrich) of Albert Lea, and Andy (Lisa) Christensen of Hayward. Grandchildren include Alec Madson, Trenton Christensen, Alexa Christensen, Aydan Christensen, Sophia Christensen and Samuel Christensen. Linda’s in laws also survive; Marguerite Christensen-Nelson (Mickey Nelson) of Clarks Grove. There are two sisters Cindy Lunning-Armon (Bob Armon) of Hayward, Debbie Weite (Paul) of Staples, brothers Hal Nelson of Glenville, Scott Nelson of Hayward, sisters in law Peggy (Kenny) Evenson of Sunray, Texas, Carol (Larry) Cox of Austin, several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Nelson, and father-in-law Wilmer Christensen.
