Carlie Wagner of the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls’ track and field team will not compete in the Class A high jump at the state meet.

Wagner, the defending high jump state champ and a basketball standout, will rest her injured knee and look to get back to full strength for next season. According to NRHEG head coach Duey Ferber, the decision was made with the help of a physical trainer.

Wagner is a junior.
